The Fireplace
The manager may be able to help you with information on how to use the fireplace and where to obtain suitable wood.
Do not take unsolicited wood from the garden or surrounding area.
Tips for lighting the fireplace
Always use dry kindling wood and firelighters if necessary.
Step 1: Open the tilting window in the living room for extra oxygen supply.
Step 2: Open the glass hood of the fireplace (see picture below).
Step 3: Stack the wood and light with the firelighters.
Step 4: slide the slider at the bottom of the fireplace to the left for maximum air supply. Sliding to the right is less oxygen supply, so combustion is slower (see picture below).
